Suspect Arrested for Stealing Ticketmaster and AT&T Customer Data

Canadian authorities have confirmed the arrest of a man suspected of hacking into the computer systems of companies such as Ticketmaster and AT&T and stealing customer information.

In a statement sent to The Verge, the Canadian Department of Justice confirmed the arrest of Alexander 'Connor' Moucka on October 30 at the request of the US government. Moucka is believed to have been responsible for stealing information from around 165 companies that used Snowflake's cloud services.

At the time, it was considered that these system intrusions were “financially motivated” and that, in the process, “significant volumes of data” were stolen.
