The decision is related to a European law that aims to force all electronics manufacturers to adopt USB-C chargers
The end of 2024 not only means the beginning of a new year but also the fact that Apple will stop selling some of its cell phones in European Union territories.
As the website iGeneration reports, it will be with the arrival of 2025 that Apple will be forced by European law to stop selling devices with a Lightning charger input - which means that all cell phones and equipment sold by Apple in European Union countries will have to be equipped with USB-C.
Therefore, in 2025 you will no longer find three of the brand's cell phones in the official Apple store: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus and the 3rd generation iPhone SE. So this means that until the next generation of Apple phones is released, you will only find the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max in the store.
It's also worth remembering that, according to the latest rumors, you'll only have to wait until spring 2025 to see Apple officially introduce a new iPhone SE model.
