Healthcare CEO Was Threatened Before He Was Killed, Widow Reveals

Brian Thompson's wife revealed, in her first statements after her husband's murder, that he was being threatened.

The CEO of private healthcare company United Healthcare died Wednesday morning outside the Hilton Hotel in Manhattan. He was shot in the back by a hooded man.

"There were some threats," says Paulette Thompson, 51, to NBC.

"I don't know the details [of the threats]. I just know that he told me that there were some people threatening him before his trip to New York", says the woman, in the first public statements she made after her husband's murder.

The woman states that she "can't find an answer to what happened" and that her priority is "consoling her children."

It is worth remembering that the suspect remains at large, with authorities asking for everyone's help to identify the man, promising to reward those who can help them.
