BBC anchor Clive Myrie has left the channel's viewers worried after he appeared on one of the newscasts with an apparently droopy eye.
Many on social media shared their concern, wondering what was wrong with the journalist's face.
“Is he all right?” was the most asked question on the social network X, after many came across the image below.
Given the situation, the journalist himself decided to use the same medium to clarify and appease his fans.
"Happy New Year to all. Thank you for your concern about my left eye. It's nothing serious, just an infection," he wrote, adding that he had considered wearing an eye patch but that his boss had told him not to. "I would look like a pirate," he told me.
