One month after the Sacramento City Council decided not to extend the contract for city manager Howard Chan, Chan took on a new role as the city's special advisor to the city manager. On Tuesday night, Chan posted on LinkedIn "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Special Advisor to the City Manager at City of Sacramento!" KCRA 3 Investigates reached out to the city manager's office, which confirmed Chan is using that as a "working title."
