OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman has been accused by his sister, Ann Altman, of sexually abusing her during her childhood.
Ann's allegations relate to a ten-year period between 1997 and 2006, starting when she was three years old and, in Sam's case, 12 years old. The lawsuit claims that due to her brother's alleged abuse, Ann was unable to lead a "normal life" and suffered "severe emotional distress."
Meanwhile, Sam Altman has already spoken out on the subject and shared a joint statement with his family on the social network X, which apparently maintains its support for the OpenAI leader.
“Annie made deeply hurtful statements about our family, especially Sam [Altman],” read the description of the post, which you can find below. The statement said the family “chose not to respond publicly,” but said “the situation causes immense pain” to all its members.
