Pope Francis Falls and Injures His Forearm

Pope Francis injured his right forearm after a fall at home, but did not suffer any fractures, the Vatican said Thursday.

"This morning, due to a fall at the Santa Marta residence, Pope Francis suffered a contusion on his right forearm, without any fractures. The arm was immobilized as a precautionary measure," the Vatican said in a statement.

The supreme pontiff turned 88 in December.
