Following the incident, the father, Artem Bugorskiy, was arrested on suspicion of murdering his son, Lucas.
A 13-year-old boy died after being hit by the propellers of a speedboat after his father violently threw him overboard during a trip to Thailand.
According to the British newspaper Metro, following the incident, the father, Artem Bugorskiy, was arrested on suspicion of murdering his son, Lucas.
The detainee, aged 45, forcibly grabbed the minor with both hands and threw him to the left side of the boat, near the bow, local media reported. Bugorskiy ended up jumping after the young man, and the captain ended up stopping the boat to get the boy out of the water.
Lucas ended up suffering multiple injuries to his head and face that, apparently, were caused by the boat's propellers. The boy ended up receiving first aid, but had to be taken to a local hospital where he ended up dying shortly after.
The death occurred on Wednesday with dozens of witnesses on board who witnessed the tragedy in Phangnga province.
The victim's father denies the allegations and told authorities he had "lost his memory" of the incident.
