Mother Shoots Four Daughters. Three Die and One Fights for Her Life

The woman called the authorities to report the shooting and warned that she was going to take her own life.

Tranyelle Harshman, 32, shot her four daughters on Monday, killing three of them. The fourth is fighting for her life while the mother also ended up taking her own life.

The shooting took place at the family home in Byron, Wyoming, and killed three children, two aged two (they were 10 months apart), and one aged nine. The two younger children were half-sisters of the older ones.

Afterwards, Tranyelle called 911 to tell them what had happened and said that when the paramedics arrived, she would be in her bedroom, upstairs, where she intended to take her own life.

Following her actions, according to US media, two parents are in mourning.

The only survivor is Olivia, aged 7, who had to be transported by air ambulance to Salt Lake City. The little girl suffered very serious brain injuries and is fighting for her life, and the next few days will be crucial in determining whether or not she will survive.

No details are yet known about the motive for the crime, but friends of the woman told 10News that she was facing mental health problems, namely postpartum depression.
