Hamas today issued a call to arms anywhere in the world against the US president's plan to displace the population of the Gaza Strip and take control of the Palestinian territory.
“Don't keep an explosive, a bullet, a knife or a stone. Let everyone come out of their silence,” Zhuri added in a statement quoted by the French news agency AFP.
The appeal comes a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposed that Hamas leaders be allowed to leave Gaza on condition that the radical Palestinian movement lays down its arms.
Israel is working on Trump's plan to transfer the inhabitants of Gaza to other countries, Netanyahu added.
The head of the Israeli government said that after the war, Israel will guarantee security in Gaza and “allow the Trump project to be implemented”.
A few days after taking office at the end of January, Trump proposed that the 2.4 million inhabitants of Gaza be expelled from the territory without the right of return, but then appeared to backtrack, declaring that he would “not impose” the widely condemned plan.
