A 29-year-old woman in Florida was arrested after authorities say she posed as a registered nurse for about 18 months.
Investigators allege she secured a job at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway using false credentials and another nurse’s license number. During that time, she reportedly treated 4,486 patients — without holding a valid RN license.
Her deception reportedly came to light when she was being considered for a promotion. A coworker checked her license status and discovered she did not have an active registered nurse license — only an expired certified nursing assistant credential.
She was fired and later charged with multiple felonies related to practicing without a license and identity fraud.
The case has sparked serious concerns about hiring verification processes and patient safety — especially considering how many patients were treated before the truth was uncovered.
