Israeli Authorities Say They Dismantled Hamas Cell And Killed Four People

On the morning of Saturday, October 7, Israel woke up on alert after a surprise attack launched by the Islamist group Hamas, using rockets fired from the Gaza Strip.

Sirens could be heard in cities such as Tel Aviv and Beersheba, as multiple armed Palestinians broke through Israeli-controlled walls and entered Israeli soil.

As well as causing thousands of deaths, the Palestinians took more than 200 hostages.

The Israeli Prime Minister reacted quickly and declared “war” on Hamas.

“We are at war. Not in an operation. Not rounds of fighting. It's a war,” said Benjamin Netanyahu.
