An American mother filmed her three-year-old son saying 'Goodbye Dad', moments before fatally shooting him. The crime happened one day before the woman was due to appear in court to fight for custody of her son.
Savannah Kriger, 32, and her son Kaiden were found dead on March 19, in a park in San António. It took the police weeks to put the pieces of the puzzle together to conclude what had happened.
In the hours before the murder, Savannah allegedly ruined wedding photos, chased her ex-husband and sent messages to the man stating that he would "be left with nothing".
In the last message she sent to the man, she wrote: "Say goodbye to your son now."
Authorities, cited by the NY Post, believe that the woman went to pick up the boy from daycare and then went to the park with him. In one of the last recordings she has on her cell phone, the woman is heard telling Kayden to say "Goodbye dad" and the woman is then heard apologizing to her son for his father's absence.
Their bodies were discovered around 19 hours later, after an Amber Alert was issued, which is activated when a person is missing and is believed to be in danger.
The Bexar County medical examiner's office quickly classified both deaths as homicides followed by suicide.
Savannah filed a divorce petition and a temporary restraining order against her ex on March 7. The former couple were scheduled to appear in court on March 19 - the day the bodies were discovered - for a custody hearing. of the boy.
