TikTok has announced that it will implement a digital watermarking system to identify content that has been created using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The system - which has been named Content Credentials - will be applied to photos, videos and also audio-only content and will be able to identify content altered by software from Microsoft, OpenAI and Adobe.
“AI allows for incredible creative opportunities, but it can confuse or mislead users if they don't know that the content has been generated by AI. Tagging helps make that context clear,” reads the TikTok statement shared by the CNet website.
