What Is Weverse, The Platform That Is Conquering Pop Stars?

Recently, it became known that singer Ariana Grande will join Weverse, a superfan platform that is owned by the South Korean Hybe Corporation, which manages the K-Pop phenomenon BTS. But what is known about this application?

As highlighted by Reuters, pop stars from all over the world are starting to join the application, which specializes in interaction between artists and fans.

On the platform, artists write messages, broadcast live and sell products. Furthermore, it is described as a "super application" with automatic translation into 15 languages.

Weberse was launched in 2019 and in the third quarter of 2023 it had, on average, more than 10 million monthly active users. Nine out of 10 users are international, according to Hybe.

Ariana Grande joins the platform following a partnership with Hybe America. Her channel has not yet been launched and the opening date is not yet known.

According to Reuters, the application's growth reflects Hybe's efforts to expand as a publisher, namely with the acquisition of Exile Music.
