Called Trump "Idiot", Now Joins Him For Presidentials

James David (JD) Vance was chosen by Donald Trump to be the Republican Party's candidate for Vice President of the United States. However, the two haven't always maintained a healthy relationship as in 2016, before Trump was elected US president, Vence criticized him harshly.

According to Reuters, the now US vice-presidential candidate and Ohio senator called Trump a "moron" and compared him to Hitler.

Now, after being announced by Trump as number two in his bid for the US presidential nomination, Vence has revealed himself to be one of Trump's most ardent supporters.

During the first day of the Republican Party National Convention, Vence always stood by Trump even when other prominent Republicans refused to do so.

Vence's change of heart towards Trump has already led some Democrats, and even Republicans, to accuse him of opportunism. However, Trump and many of his advisers see the change as genuine.

Republican senator John Barrasso, whom Vence has described as a mentor, said that the Ohio senator's change of heart towards Trump is related to "the successes that President Trump has brought to the country".
