This Wednesday (10), a comment from singer Chris Brown caused an uproar on the internet. The American rapper didn't mince words when he threatened to beat up his Brazilian lookalike, Tigo Fariah, stating that the young man will never be famous and asking him to stop imitating him. The statement quickly went viral.
In a publication by the lookalike, Chris Brown revealed his disappointment in the comments. “It’s fucking ridiculous to try to imitate me… it looks like you have one less chromosome. Be yourself, my bro... you'll never be me! So stop it before I beat you up,” the singer wrote. Tigo Fariah chose to respond to the provocation in a good-humored way: “Calm down, vidoca. Father loves you.”
Comments on social media reflected the division of opinion among followers. “I wonder what a guy's head feels like after hearing something like that from his favorite artist. That’s awesome,” defended one user. “Chris is right. Be you and stop trying to be him”, said another.
In addition to those who took the unfriendly interaction seriously, some internet users only noticed one detail: “He imitates Naldo and no one says anything”, joked a follower, about the North American's similarity to the Brazilian singer. “We have to call Naldo to mediate this mess”, joked another. “The guy is going to attack Naldo (laughs)”, interpreted a third.
There were still those who criticized the artist's controversial history, who allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. “Ableist Skin activated because we already know the aggressor skin, right”, pointed out another user. “Wow, the woman aggressor is nervous,” reflected another.
