A woman and her five-year-old son died in a collision between two cars last Sunday on the BR-282 highway in Santa Catarina, Brazil, when they were returning from a visit to an amusement park.
The victim's cousin, Laís Dela Justina, told G1 that Beatriz, 33, was traveling in the back seat of the vehicle with her son when the accident happened.
Her husband and 16-year-old son, who were traveling in the front of the car, were also injured in the accident and had to undergo surgery, but their lives are not in danger.
To the Brazilian publication, Laís also revealed that Beatriz was going through a very happy phase, after being cured of cancer a month ago.
