A 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in Ibiza, Spain, on suspicion of having had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl in a hotel.
According to the National Police, quoted by Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera, the situation occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in a local hotel.
The alert was given by the teenager's mother from the hotel, who explained that when she woke up she realized that her daughter wasn't in her room and that the night before she had gone out with some friends of the same age.
The girl was later found in a hotel room with the 32-year-old man.
According to the authorities, the minor went to a nightclub the night before, where she met a man who invited her to a private room, where she consumed alcoholic beverages in his company. Afterwards, they went together to a hotel room and had sex.
After carrying out the necessary investigations, officers arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against sexual freedom.
The man will be brought before a judge at the city's Court of Instruction.
