Manchester United Want To Take Bayern Munich Duo In One Fell Swoop

Manchester United are seriously considering a return to Bayern Munich, after paying around 45 million euros for Matthijs de Ligt in the summer transfer market.

According to reports on Tuesday by Florian Plettenberg, a journalist for German television station Sky Sport, Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sané could follow in their former teammate's footsteps to Old Trafford, either as soon as the summer transfer window reopens in January or at the end of the season.

Leroy Sané will be the most accessible target, given that his contract expires in June 2025, which means he will be available at 'zero cost', although he has already shown his willingness to renew.

Leon Goretzka, on the other hand, has a contract valid until 2026 and would prioritize remaining at the Allianz Arena, which could make the Red Devils' intentions very complicated.
