USA. Body Of Man Who Dived Into Lake To Save Son Rescued

US authorities found the body of Jamar Montgomery, a 25-year-old man who died after diving into a lake to save his son, in the United States.

Montgomery's body was found in Sutton Lake on Tuesday night, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources said in a news release cited by the Associated Press.

According to witnesses at the scene, the man entered the water to rescue his son, who had gone down a boat slide and got into trouble when his life jacket came loose.

After getting the child back to safety, Montgomery, who had not worn a life jacket, disappeared into the water and did not resurface.

"The heroic actions to save your son are a testament to your courage and love. This tragedy highlights the importance of wearing life jackets and taking all necessary precautions in the water to ensure the safety of our loved ones," said Colonel Bobby Cales of the local police.
