A woman has made a medical recovery, waking up just hours before the life support machine she was on was due to be switched off.
Emma Price, 32, suddenly opened her eyes and surprised her relatives, who thought she was brain-dead, according to MyLondon.
The woman, who overdosed after trying to take her own life, was able to breathe on her own for more than 30 minutes, prompting her mother, Samantha Day, to speak of a “miracle”.
“I can't explain it, I've never cried so much in my life. We're so happy she's awake. We were already planning the funeral and getting ready to say goodbye to her, but she opened her eyes and we started crying again, but this time they were tears of joy,” she said.
Emma - who suffered from bullying at her workplace - is a “fighter”, said her mother, confident that the woman will return to normal life “little by little”.
