Microsoft has announced that it will be increasing the price of the Xbox Game Pass subscription from September. Instead of the monthly fee of 14.99 euros currently charged to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members (which includes PC, console and cloud), subscribers to the service should prepare to start paying 17.99 euros.
This isn't the only Xbox Game Pass subscription plan to see a price increase. Microsoft said that the price of Xbox Game Pass Core for 12 months will also increase, from 59.99 to 69.99 euros.
The PC version of the service, PC Game Pass, will also see a change in the monthly fee for new members from September. Current members will continue to pay 9.99 euros but, for new subscribers, the price will rise to 11.99 euros.
Microsoft also said that it intends to launch a new subscription plan. Named Xbox Game Pass Standard, this plan will have a monthly fee of 14.99 dollars (price may vary according to region) and its main difference is that it doesn't include games on launch day - which has so far been considered one of the great advantages of Xbox Game Pass.
