Erling Haaland made his mark again last Saturday, scoring both goals as Manchester City beat Brentford 2-1 in a match in which they were losing, thanks to a precise shot from Yoane Wissa.
All things considered, the Norwegian international has now scored 99 goals in 103 official matches for the English champions. Now, he is aiming to become the fastest player in the history of European football to score 100 for a single club, which currently belongs to... Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese player (who currently plays for Al Nassr) achieved this feat with Real Madrid in 2011, having needed 105 games to do so, which gives his rivals two opportunities to surpass him.
The Portuguese captain's record could therefore fall this Wednesday, in the Champions League clash against Internazionale, or on Sunday, in the highly anticipated Premier League Classic against Arsenal.
