A 33-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being run over by her partner late on Monday afternoon in the Puente de Vallecas neighbourhood of Madrid, Spain.
The victim suffered ‘severe cranioencephalic trauma and several fractures’, according to Emergencias Madrid, and had to be transported to Hospital 12 de Octobre.
According to witnesses, minutes before what happened, the couple had a heated argument, reports Telecinco.
The 33-year-old man fled the scene, leaving the woman lying on the ground, but eventually returned and was treated for a head injury. He was arrested at a Madrid police station.
The authorities are now investigating whether this is a new case of gender violence.
