Barcelona Hopes For Manchester City's 'Meltdown' To Take Haaland

Manchester City is in serious danger of facing significant penalties (even from a sporting point of view) following the case in which it is accused of committing 115 financial offenses. A case that is being monitored... by Barcelona.

This is because, according to Tuesday's edition of the Spanish newspaper Sport, the board led by Joan Laporta believes that, in the event of a 'collapse', the English financial champions will be forced to sell some of their main assets, including Erling Haaland, a player they have been monitoring since 2021.

The Catalans see the Norwegian international as the ideal successor to Robert Lewandowski, who celebrated his 36th birthday last August, and have a good relationship with his manager, Rafaela Pimenta.

The conditions are therefore in place for the Blaugrana club to launch an 'attack' on the citizens' striker. However, they are in no hurry, so much so that they are prepared to wait until 2026.
