Mendy Places Five From Manchester City At Sex Parties That 'Framed' Him

Benjamin Mendy was heard this Monday as part of the case in which he claims Manchester City owes him 11.5 million pounds (13.8 million euros) in withheld wages after he was suspended in 2021 as a result of nine sexual assault charges.

The French international was later cleared of all charges and is now looking to rebuild his career with Lorient, a Ligue 2 club. Even so, he hasn't forgiven his former club and, in court, 'opened up' about the sex parties that narrowly avoided leaving him destitute.

The left-back stressed that he wasn't the only one to attend these kinds of events, and even assured that his teammates at the time, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Raheem Sterling, accompanied him.

“Several Manchester City players, including the club captain, were present at the parties I attended and organized. We all drank alcohol. We all had casual relationships with women. We all violated Covid-19 restrictions,” he began.

“This doesn't excuse my behavior, but I feel it's unfair of Manchester City to isolate me the way they did. The difference between me and the other players is that I was falsely accused of rape and humiliated,” he added, quoted by the British newspaper The Sun.
