Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, has reportedly put his hands up to avoid losing three of his most valuable assets. They are Ronald Araújo, Pablo Gavi and Pedri González, whose contracts expire in June 2026.
According to Tuesday's edition of Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the former Portuguese international's aim is to convince the trio to extend their current contracts until 2030, thus warding off the interest they have been causing in the transfer market.
The publication reveals that the manager has already held a first meeting with Pedri's manager, Héctor Peris, to communicate this intention, which is considered the most important dossier for now.
On the other hand, more difficulties are expected in the dialogue with Ronald Araújo, so much so that he has already had a concrete renewal proposal in his hands for several months, but has not yet given the go-ahead.
