Fire on Two Buses in Cerzeda, Spain



Two buses caught fire overnight after they were allegedly set on fire, according to the Galician newspaper La Voz de Galicia. The Alsa vehicles were parked opposite each other on Avenida de la Coruña in Cerzeda. The alert was given around midnight (Spanish time).


The two buses belonging to the Alsa bus company were destroyed after they were allegedly set on fire on Sunday night on Avenida de la Coruña in Cerzeda. Flammable products were apparently used, as the flames quickly consumed the vehicles, despite the rapid response of emergency services.


The alert was given around midnight (Spanish time) by civilians. The Cerceda Civil Protection, the Ordes Fire Station and also officers from the Guardia Civil were at the scene.


The work lasted around an hour and a half and there were no injuries. The Galician newspaper also reports that the Guardia Civil is investigating the causes of the incident.
