Five decapitated men were found on a road near Ojuelos, in Jalisco, Mexico. On Sunday morning, police were called to the scene after drivers noticed black plastic bags containing remains of dead bodies.
According to the British broadcaster BBC, forensic experts are trying to identify the victims. The brutality of the crime, as well as the arrangement of the bodies, indicate that the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel may be involved in the murders.
The ages of the victims are also unknown. An investigation has also been opened to determine what happened.
The BBC writes that, this year alone, official figures say that 1,415 people have been murdered between January and September in Jalisco, Mexico.
