Brazilian MMA ('Mixed Martial Arts', 'Mixed Martial Arts', in Portuguese) is mourning the death of André Mussi, aged 48, this Wednesday.
According to information provided by the Brazilian portal G1, the former fighter was training at a gym in Rio de Janeiro when he felt unwell. He was treated and taken to a health unit, where he was declared dead.
A native of Salvador, in the state of Bahia, André Mussi was a prominent figure in this sport between 2004 and 2010, and even fought in Portugal.
He leaves behind his wife and a son. The same publication adds that his body will be buried in his hometown, but does not give details about the funeral ceremonies.
