NASA Photo Shows Damaged Wheel on Curiosity Rover on Mars

Despite this, the damage is not an obstacle to the mission.

NASA shared a photo taken by Curiosity on Mars that shows one of the rover's damaged wheels, which, nevertheless, does not represent an obstacle to the mission launched in 2011.

"These big wheels keep turning," reads the post shared on the social network X. "The recent photos of my wheels have some of you worried, but I'm here to assure you that we're fine! The images help my team monitor the wear and tear. If necessary, I could get rid of some of them and keep rolling."

The wheel in question is, apparently, on the right side and in the middle of the rover. Each of the wheels is 50 centimeters in diameter and 30 centimeters wide.
