Spotify Solved One of the Biggest Problems of Flying

The playlist is for those times when you forgot to download playlists to listen to when you don’t have access to the Internet.

If you’ve ever forgotten to download a playlist on Spotify before boarding a plane trip, you’ll be pleased to know that the service has a new feature for this type of situation.

The Swedish company announced Offline Backup, a feature that automatically creates a playlist to be available on your device when you don’t have access to Wi-Fi or mobile data. This playlist will include not only tracks you’ve recently listened to, but also songs you’ve queued up to listen to.

Like other playlists created by Spotify, Offline Backup is constantly evolving according to the artists and genres you listen to the most, thus ensuring that you’re never left without something to listen to when you need it.

The feature is exclusive to Spotify Premium users and will gradually be available worldwide, both on Android and iOS.
