The founder, president and CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, was present in one of the most recent episodes of the podcast 'Tech Unheard', revealing the process he uses to interview people who want to work at the company.
Huang says, however, that he's not a fan of the interview format for evaluating a candidate, noting that it's "not an excellent method" for judging the person in front of him. “Obviously, anyone can pretend to be a very constructive conversation. You can learn a lot by watching YouTube videos about how to interview,” Huang noted.
As the website Business Insider reports, the Nvidia leader also noted that questions asked in job interviews at the company are often shared on the Internet, which makes it difficult to conduct a rigorous evaluation process.
The company managed, however, to find a way to evaluate potential candidates. Huang stated that he likes to ask “an in-depth question” and analyze how those interested in working at Nvidia formulate reasoning.
