Pogba Breaks The Silence: “They Took Football Away From Me When I Didn't Do Anything”

Paul Pogba gave an extensive interview to this Tuesday's edition of the French newspaper L'Équipe, in which he broke his silence about the suspension he has been handed due to an alleged positive doping test.

The 31-year-old has a contract with Juventus until June 2026, but the latest reports from Italy indicate that both parties intend to terminate it. Even so, he says he's committed to returning to the pitch: “It's my workplace. I'm impatient, very impatient”.

“Of course I want to come back. It's soccer, it's something that's not finished. It's something that's been taken away from me. It's the strawberry shortcake that was taken out of my mouth when I didn't do anything,” said the Gaulish international, visibly frustrated.

“We always set ourselves targets. I'm like that. Just talking about soccer, stroking the grass again... I'm very ambitious,” he added, before replying cryptically about a possible experience in Ligue 1: ‘Why not?’.
