Two more monkeys have been captured from those on the run after escaping from a laboratory. The discovery was made near the Alpha Genesis building in South Carolina on Sunday.
All told, 37 of the 43 rhesus monkeys that escaped from the lab have been recovered, said the research center's CEO, Greg Westergaard, according to the Associated Press.
Greg Westgaard also said that the recovered primates have been tested and are in “excellent condition”.
The authorities are still looking for the remaining six.
At the beginning of November, more than 40 monkeys escaped from a laboratory that breeds animals to sell to medical facilities and other researchers.
