Building Where Estonian Ambassador Lives In Kyiv Hit By Drone

The building where the Estonian ambassador lives in Kyiv was hit by a Russian drone, the Estonian Foreign Minister revealed today, who asked for "full assistance" from allies in matters of Ukraine's defense.

"In a new attack on Kyiv, yesterday morning [Thursday], a Russian drone hit the building where the Estonian ambassador to Ukraine, Annely Kolk, lives," the Estonian minister said in a statement.

"She and her husband escaped unharmed", assured Magnus Tsahkna, highlighting that this attack constituted "new proof that no one is safe in Ukraine as long as Russia continues its aggression, deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure".

At least one person died and more than forty were injured during a series of attacks on the cities of Kharkiv, Odessa and Kyiv in Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities announced today, a day after the deadly attacks in Zaporijia.

On Wednesday, a series of Russian attacks in this southern Ukrainian city left nine dead, including a baby, and at least 42 injured, according to a report from local authorities.

According to the Estonian minister, the intensification of Russian airstrikes is "a new reminder that Ukraine must receive comprehensive assistance, including in air defense, long-range missiles, weapons systems and ammunition."

"We cannot have red lines in the fight against terrorism and for freedom and security," Tsahkna added.
