All signs point to Donald Trump being the next US president and, during his victory speech, the Republican candidate left a special message for one of the campaign's most prominent figures - Elon Musk.
“Let me tell you, we have a new star. A star is born: Elon [Musk]. He's a spectacular guy. We spent two weeks campaigning in Philadelphia and different parts of Pennsylvania,” Trump said during the speech you can see above.
The Republican candidate also recalled the most recent Starship test and how impressed he was when the robotic arms of the SpaceX tower were able to 'catch' the rocket “just like holding a baby at night”.
“It was a beautiful thing to see,” said Trump, noting that he immediately called Elon Musk to talk about the topic. “Elon, was it you? Who can do this? Can Russia do it? No. Can China do it? No. Is there anyone else in the US who can do this? No, no one can do that. That’s why I adore you, Elon.”
Trump also recalled Hurricane Helena which, after passing through North Carolina, left the state's residents without communications. It was then that the Republican candidate approached Musk so that the Starlink satellite Internet service could be a valuable help.
“He is a character, he is a special guy. He's a super genius and we have to protect our geniuses because we don't have many left," Trump said.
Note that, however, Musk has also reacted to Trump's victory on the social network X and returned to making the joke with which he began his 'reign' on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
