"It's an Honor to Be Your Daughter." Daughter's Tribute to Quincy Jones

Four days after his death, Rashida Jones paid tribute to her father, Quincy Jones, with an Instagram share.

The legendary music producer died last Sunday, November 3, at his home in Los Angeles, aged 91.

In an emotional post, Rashida opened up about her father and his legacy.

"My father was a night owl his entire adult life," he wrote in the caption of his photo as a baby in Quincy's arms.

The artist has always had a great passion for jazz and Rashida recalled the fact that her father "never looked back" after starting his career.

"When I was little, I would wake up in the middle of the night to look for him. No doubt he would be somewhere in the house, composing songs (the old-fashioned way, with pen and sheet music). He never sent me back to bed. He would smile and put me in his arms as he continued to work... there was no safer place in the world for me."

Rashida continued, "He was a giant. An icon. A culture changer. A genius. All of this describes my father, but his music (and ALL of his work) was the vehicle for his love. He WAS love. He did it with that everyone felt loved and seen.

"I was lucky enough to feel this love up close. I will miss your hugs, your kisses, your unconditional devotion and your advice. Father, it is an honor to be your daughter. Your love will live forever", he concluded.
