Manchester City have launched an 'operation renewal' and, after convincing Pep Guardiola (whose contract expires in June 2025) to stay on for (at least) another season, have turned their attention to Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian international has a contract valid until the end of the 2026/27 season, but in the face of 'harassment' from clubs like Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning English champions are preparing a 'monstrous' package to keep him at the Etihad, according to this Thursday's edition of the British newspaper The Sun.
The goal scorer currently earns 375,000 pounds (450,400 euros) a week, without bonuses. However, if he accepts the offer he will see his salary 'skyrocket' to more than 20 million pounds (24 million euros) a year.
The Citizens' plan is to 'tie down' the former Borussia Dortmund man for another four or five years, which means that, all things considered, this period could earn him a total 'check' of more than 100 million pounds (120.1 million euros)... plus bonuses.
