Marilyn Manson Drops Defamation Lawsuit Against Ex-Girlfriend

In 2022, Marilyn Manson had filed a defamation lawsuit against his girlfriend at the time, actress Evan Rachel Wood, after she accused him of sexual and psychological abuse.

But it appears that the American musician has changed his mind and has now abandoned the legal process. But there's more... Manson also paid 300 thousand euros to his ex-girlfriend.

It all started when, in 2021, Wood accused the singer on social media, alleging "terrible abuse, violence, coercion and intimidation." Furthermore, the actress mentioned that Manson allegedly tried to seduce her when she was still underage.

The musician always denied the accusations and filed the defamation lawsuit in March 2022. Following Evan Rachel Wood's sharing, several women publicly accused Marilyn Manson of the same crimes.

After the singer dropped the defamation suit, a representative for his ex-girlfriend sent a statement to Rolling Stone magazine, stating: "Mr. Marilyn Manson - whose real name is Brian Warner - has filed a lawsuit against Ms. Wood as a publicity stunt to try to undermine the credibility of the many women who accuse him and revive his career."

It also says: "as the court correctly considered, Warner's allegations were unfounded. Warner's decision to finally withdraw the case and pay the total costs of 310 thousand euros are proof of this."
