Donald Trump's decision to appoint Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), to lead a new department in his next administration has not gone down well with users of the social network.
After The Guardian, La Vanguardia and even a German soccer club, it was the turn of writer Stephen King to announce that he is leaving X and will be joining another platform - Meta Threads (Facebook and WhatsApp).
"I'm leaving Twitter. I tried to stay, but the atmosphere became too toxic. Follow me on Threads if you like," wrote the author of books such as ‘It’, ‘The Dark Tower’ and ‘Salem's Lot’.
