The Russian government approved on Thursday the signing of a new agreement between the Russian space agency Roscosmos and the US space agency NASA to conduct shared flights to the International Space Station.
This is the third extension of the agreement signed in 2022.
The Russian state's legal information portal reported that the government accepted the proposal from Roscosmos director Yuri Borisov, who believes that this cooperation ensures the "reliable" operation of the station.
Following the second agreement signed a year ago, Roscosmos announced two flights with NASA for 2025, when an American astronaut will travel to the station aboard a Soyuz spacecraft and a Russian astronaut on a Crew Dragon.
