Woman in Transit Detained at Luanda Airport With 20 Kilos of Cocaine



Angolan authorities detained a woman, of South African nationality, in possession of 20 kilos of cocaine, at the 4 de Fevereiro international airport, in Luanda, the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) announced today.


According to a note from SIC, the woman, in transit, was caught with two suitcases, which were hidden in 13 waterproof jackets and 26 packages of drugs, weighing more than 20 kilograms, coming from Brazil and destined for the city. Cape, South Africa.


From January to November this year, the SIC has already seized a total of almost 49 kilos of cocaine and more than 15 tons of marijuana.


According to the same source, in another action, authorities arrested two men of Guinean nationality and a Portuguese-Angolan man, bound for Dubai and France, at the time of disembarking passengers, in possession of 45 thousand dollars and 41 thousand euros, respectively, whose amounts were hidden in shoes and clothes inside travel bags.
