An explosion at the port of Barcelona, Spain, has left one person dead and one injured. The two victims were carrying out maintenance work at the site.
The incident occurred this morning at 10 am [one hour less in mainland Portugal], and according to the Civil Protection, it was caused by the explosion of a methyl acetate tank.
Several fire brigades are at the scene.
The injured worker was taken to the Vall d'Hebron Hospital.
