Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially separated. According to information from the newspaper “US Weekly”, the two signed the divorce papers last Monday (6), after just over two years of marriage.
The couple's separation was already speculated by the public after the two were not seen together in public appearances in almost two months, which ended up being confirmed months later. Lopez filed for dissolution of the marriage on August 20, 2024, undermining the hopes of the couple's fans for a possible reconciliation.
According to a source to the newspaper, Affleck and J.Lo broke up due to crises in the relationship and because they “could not get on the same page”. Months later, the divorce came through with both parties agreeing to divide all assets and liabilities.
According to “US Weekly”, the actors decided to divide the $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills, with Lopez keeping her personal assets, such as clothes, jewelry and “miscellaneous personal property in her possession, custody or control”. The actor will still maintain his stake in the production company Artists Equity, created in 2022 with Matt Damon. The singer also decided to restore her original surname Lynn Lopez, officially removing “Affleck”.
