The city of Los Angeles is being ravaged by large fires, leading to the evacuation of thousands of people from this county in the state of California, in the USA.
Meanwhile, images from satellites from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reveal the scale of the catastrophe in the region and show that smoke from these fires can now be seen from space.
As reported by Space.com, strong winds have contributed to the uncertainty and difficulty firefighters have in dealing with these fires. In some cases, these winds reached 160 km/h.
