Netflix's miniseries "Senna" was voted the best series of 2024 at the APCAC (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) awards. The audiovisual material portrays the life and career of Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna, who passed away in 1994, in six episodes.
"It's very beautiful to follow the grand trajectory of "Senna". After seeing the miniseries embraced by audiences around the world, receiving recognition from an award as traditional as the APCA and in a category with so many incredible productions is crowning one of the most beloved and important projects in our history", said producer Caio Gullane to CNN.
A month after its release, "Senna" was nominated for the Critics Choice Awards in the category Best Foreign Language Series. The winners will be announced on February 7th after the postponement of the awards due to the fires in LA.
The series stars Gabriel Leone – who plays Ayrton, and features big names such as Kaya Scodelario, Matt Mella, Alice Wegmann, Julia Foti, Hugo Bonemer, Marco Ricca and other actors.
