Disney+ Wants to Move Forward with New 'Power Rangers' Series

The showrunners responsible for 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' and 'The Old Man', Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, are reportedly in negotiations with Disney+ to write and produce a series based on 'Power Rangers'.

The news was reported by The Wrap, which indicates that Disney is interested in going ahead with a new series based on the saga in order to “reinvent the franchise for a whole new generation of fans”.

It should be remembered that 'Power Rangers' is an intellectual property owned by Hasbro, with the company also involved with Disney in the project along with 20th Century TV.
