Saritha Ramaraju has been arrested on suspicion of killing her 11-year-old son during a visit to Disneyland in Florida, USA.
The 48-year-old woman killed her son during a parental visit, as the boy was in his father's custody.
On the day of the murder, Saritha was supposed to hand her son over to his father, but killed him instead. She called the authorities herself to tell them what had happened.
“He was living his best life, every child's dream of being at Disneyland, spending time with his mother. On the day he was to be returned to his father, she slit his throat and, hours later, called 112 to say she had killed her son and had taken pills to kill herself,” the police said.
The woman was held without bail, charged with murder and an aggravated crime of personal use of a weapon.
